Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Regarding your issue, may I kindly ask a few questions to help understand it better.
- Can you provide a screenshot of one of these emails via private message so I can review the sender and content as this will help check if the message is genuinely from Microsoft or possibly a phishing attempt.
- Did you ever personally purchase a Microsoft subscription (for example, Microsoft 365, Xbox, or any trial that may have converted to paid)?
- Are the emails specifically addressing you by name or showing your correct account details, or do they look generic?
- Do the billing emails appear in your school inbox, or are they being sent to a separate personal email account?
- Have you noticed any actual charges on your credit card, or are these only email notifications?
- If the email was received in your school inbox, have you had a chance to report it to your school IT team for verification?
In the meantime, if you did not personally purchase any Microsoft subscription, there is a possibility that these emails could be phishing attempts. Please avoid clicking any links or entering your credentials until the email is verified.
If you are concerned your account may be compromised, it may be a good idea to temporarily secure your account by:
- Changing your password
- Enabling additional security (such as multi-factor authentication)
- Signing out of all sessions
- Temporarily lock or freeze your credit card with your bank to prevent any unauthorized charges.
Hope to hear back from you soon.
