Installing or updating the Teams app for education users across supported platforms

If your Microsoft Teams app shows it was last updated in September 2025, the first step is to manually update the app.
On Desktop:
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Click Settings and more (...) > Settings > About Teams.
- Under Version, check if an update is available. If you see Update now, please select it.
- You may also see an update banner at the top of the app: click Update > Update and restart Teams. The app will close, install the update, and reopen automatically.

If you need immediate access to classes or meetings, you can use Teams on the web, which is always up to date.
On Mobile:
Please visit the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and install the latest version of Microsoft Teams.
If this is a school-managed device or account, it’s also possible that updates are controlled by your IT administrator. In that case, you may need to contact them for assistance.
