Application Limit Error: Only 4 Applications Submitted, But Portal Says Max 10 Reached

I currently have only 4 applications submitted on the Microsoft careers portal. However, whenever I try to apply for a new role, I get an error saying that I have exceeded the maximum limit of 10 total applications.

Because of this, I'm unable to submit my application for the Software Engineer (SWE) role in India.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? Is there a support email, help center link, or recruiting contact that I can reach out to for assistance?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

This type of issue (portal showing an application limit reached when the visible count is lower) is a site/account problem that needs to be handled by support rather than something that can be fixed from the user side.

For Microsoft career/assessment/profile issues, the documented path is to contact the official support channel for credentials and related services and have them review and correct the account state. Use the support entry point here and open a ticket describing the incorrect application-limit error and that it is blocking a SWE application:

    • Go to the certification/credentials support page and submit a support request: Help

If the issue is related to a specific assessment, exam scheduling, or name/profile problem, that same support entry point is used in similar cases and can escalate to the appropriate team.

If additional help is needed after contacting support, posting in the appropriate Microsoft Q&A community area for careers/credentials and referencing the support ticket ID can help moderators route it correctly.
