Good evening, Microsoft Support team

I’m [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed] a legally deaf individual having a hard time seeking assistance in order to receive and retain my emails for work

When I opened up the Microsoft over a year or so ago it acts are you setting up a work or student account? It was for work.

Now there was a yellow icon that shows up in states

[Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]@nykitashomeless.org is having syncing issues.

You have 1000 or more pinned messages and you need to remove them. It’s causing a syncing slow issue and new emails are not able to come in. Now I removed any of the flags that I had for any emails, but the situation still continues. I’m still not receiving any emails since Tuesday of this week. We are now on June 19 and I’ve missed three meetings and two events because I was not able to obtain my emails or my calendar with my Outlook email. Now on my end I have went to Apple. They said that it is not on their end. It is Microsoft. I’ve went to Best Buy for Assistance. They couldn’t help. I’ve removed the app and brought it back to where now any emails I had are completely deleted and I also went to go daddy which was not any help at all other than them trying to sell more storage that I didn’t need now I would appreciate some assistance and help because I’ve been having a very rough four days and not able to receive my emails in order to correspond with my death lead Organization and keeping in contact with my community.

    Hi @Letitia Hall

I'm sorry for the disruption this has caused over the past few days being cut off from your email and calendar is understandably stressful.

I saw you mentioned the "1000 or more pinned messages" warning that's asking you to remove them. Have you tried unpinning those messages from Outlook on the web yet? Since the phone app can't unpin in bulk, that's the part that usually needs to be done from a computer or browser. If you haven't tried it yet, here are the steps to work through:

    • On a computer, open a browser, go to outlook.office.com, and sign in with your account
    • Open the folder referenced in the warning (usually the Inbox). Select the messages on a computer you can press Ctrl + A to select all loaded messages then right-click and choose Unpin or use the Pin/Unpin option on the Home tab.
    • User's image (Note that pinning is separate from flagging, so removing flags earlier would not affect this.)
    • Go to the View tab and select Sync (or press F9), then check for any errors at the bottom of the message list.
    • User's image
    • For more details, please refer to: Sync to manually check for new mail and to send messages in Outlook
    • Set your Inbox filter to All (not "Unread"), check the Other tab if Focused Inbox is on, and review the Junk, Archive, and Deleted Items folders.
    • User's image
    • Once the messages are unpinned, fully close the Outlook app on your phone, reopen it, and allow a few minutes for it to sync.

Please give the web sign-in and un-pinning a try and let me know if your mail starts flowing again.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
