To discontinue a solitaire (or any Microsoft) subscription that was not intentionally ordered, cancel the subscription and then check eligibility for a refund.
- Go to the Services & subscriptions page
- Visit https://account.microsoft.com/services.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that is being charged.
- Locate the solitaire/game subscription
- Under Services & subscriptions, find the game or related subscription (for example, a Microsoft subscription tied to games or add-ons).
- Cancel the subscription
- Select Manage next to that subscription.
- On the next page, select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what appears).
- Follow the on-screen steps to finish cancellation.
- If instead of Manage you see Turn on recurring billing, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not be charged again.
- If it was purchased through a mobile app store
- If the solitaire subscription was bought via Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refunds must be handled through their support:
- For Google Play, see Learn about Google Play refund policies.
- For Apple, request a refund from Apple support.
- If the solitaire subscription was bought via Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refunds must be handled through their support:
- Check why charges appeared and request refund if needed
- If the charge is not recognized, review it on the Manage your payments page from the Microsoft account dashboard and follow the guidance under How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
- After canceling, eligibility for a refund depends on timing and local policy; details are in the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale and, in some countries, prorated refunds may apply.
If unable to cancel (for example, no subscription is visible under the signed-in account), verify that the correct Microsoft account is used, especially if there are multiple email addresses.
