In Planner, I would like to be able to search a keyword in the whole board, but a can't. It only searches the subject line. But there is a lot of information in to comments that should be searchable in the Planner without having to open the Task first and search. It seems this is a feature that many people want.

    Hi Jessica,

Good day. It sounds like this situation has been challenging, and your concern is clearly heard.

In Planner, keyword search and filtering are designed to work at the plan level, primarily focusing on task titles and structured fields. Content within task comments (or task chat) is handled separately within each task, which means it isn’t included in the board-level search results.

For reference: Manage your tasks in Microsoft Planner

Here are some workarounds you might consider:

    1. Use labels consistently for categories or themes you may need to filter or revisit later, as labels are fully supported in Planner’s filtering tools.
    2. Capture key details in searchable fields such as the task title or a standardized format in the description, especially for information that may need to be located quickly later.
