Microsoft 365 Developer Program - only United States selectable when creating billing profile

Question

I was so happy that i could finally configure my Microsoft 365 Sandbox, which i urgently need to keep my Windows 11 evaluation kit going, but when i try to set the developer kit up, i have to create a billing profile. When i do that, the country is hardcoded to United States. I tryed different browsers and private windows, the error stays.

According to the official Microsoft documentation: 

 

This indicates that the setup may default to the North America/United States region during the Instant Sandbox provisioning process. 

I also found a similar thread where another user experienced the same behavior. When they selected the Instant Sandbox, they were also prompted to create a billing account, and the Country/Region was fixed to United States, preventing them from completing the setup.

As a workaround, they selected Configurable Sandbox instead of Instant Sandbox. They were then no longer prompted to provide billing information and were able to complete the Microsoft 365 developer sandbox setup successfully. 

If you haven't already, you may want to try creating a Configurable Sandbox instead and see if it allows you to complete the setup without the billing profile requirement.
