Dear Team,

I bought my device last year in October. Today I got system updates and after updating it said that restart pending. So I restarted my device. From the device restart I am getting this message. I tried login to my account through my different laptop to get access to bitlocker keys. But that didn't work cause when I click on manage keys for bit locker it asks for verification and sending me code to my registered mobile number but an hour has passed and didn't received any code on my mobile number.

So I thought of using different verification. So I entered my different email address to receive code but now I got a message on mail and surprising on my mobile too that your security information has been changed to new email id which I have not initiated. So I request to cancel the changes for which Microsoft is to send me code on my registered mobile number which again I didn't receive. So now I am not able to get my recovery keys and after 30 days my information will be changed to new email id and can't access my laptop and account completely.

Please provide solution...

Thank you for taking the time to update, ROHIT TOMAR. You clearly have already exhausted the normal verification and support routes, which I can completely understand would be incredibly frustrating.

Unfortunately, there isn't a separate Microsoft team that can manually provide BitLocker recovery keys or bypass the account verification process. BitLocker is a very serious security feature, if such a path to get it easily existed, it would not be able to serve its purpose.

I see that you mentioned contacting Microsoft Support but stuck with the steps and details. Just wondering, if you had tried clicking the Contact Support button? You would need another account (you can create another one or borrow from friend/family), but it should be able to connect you with an agent via chat. If you don't get the option, a tip from other users is to change to other categories.

Also, one thing I would point out is that formatting the device would not cause you to lose your Windows 11 Home license. The license is linked to your hardware or Microsoft account, and it can be reactivated after reinstalling Windows on the same device. The risk is the loss of data currently protected by BitLocker, not the Windows license itself.

I genuinely wish there were a direct escalation path for obtaining the recovery key, but Microsoft does not provide one. And even if such a process exists, it would be internal, inaccessible to end users like us.
