    Dear @Raquel B. Rivera,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, you are trying to set up Microsoft Authenticator by scanning a QR code, but after scanning it, you are prompted for payment even though you already have a Microsoft Office license.

For better understanding your situation and can support you effectively, could you please confirm some information as:

    1. Is this a work/school account or a personal Microsoft account?
    2. What exactly asks for payment?
    3. Can you share a screenshot of the payment prompt? (you can share the screenshot in Private Message if possible)

In case you are using school account. The recommended solution is to contact your school’s IT Helpdesk or Microsoft 365 administrator and request an MFA/Authenticator reset for your account. Once they reset your authentication methods:

You will be able to sign in again

You will then be prompted to re-register Microsoft Authenticator on your new device

This is the standard recovery process when access to the original authenticator device is lost, as only an administrator has permission to reset those security settings.

If it does not meet your expectations, please feel free to reach out and update more information as my previous questions so I can support you more effectively.
