    Hi @Devin Fisher

To narrow down the issue, please provide more information:

    • Could you confirm whether you're referring to a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox?
    • What is the exact error message?
    • Are you signing in with a personal Microsoft account (@outlook.com, @hotmail.com) or a work account?
    • Do you currently have a Visual Studio Professional/Enterprise subscription or a Partner Program membership?

If you’ve encountered the message You don’t currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription, this usually does not indicate a setup or technical issue, but rather that your account is currently not eligible to receive the free Microsoft 365 E5 developer sandbox.

Joining the Microsoft 365 Developer Program does not automatically grant access to an E5 developer sandbox. Sandbox tenants are only available to qualifying accounts, and eligibility is currently restricted by Microsoft. At this time, sandbox access is typically limited to:

    • Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise subscribers
    • Microsoft Partner Program members (for example, ISV Success / AI Cloud Partner Program)

However, as forum moderators, we do not have access to internal systems required to investigate individual account issues due to privacy and security constraints. For this scenario, we recommend ensuring that you meet all the eligibility requirements outlined by Microsoft for accessing the E5 developer program. These requirements are detailed in the Microsoft 365 Developer Program FAQ.

If you believe you're eligible but still encountering issues, you can submit a support ticket through the Contact Us - Developer Support for further assistance.

Please note that this is a paid support ticket, which means it requires an active support plan or a one-time support purchase. However, the benefit of using this channel is that your inquiry will be routed directly to the Microsoft Product Group responsible for the specific service or feature in question. This team includes engineers and developers who work on the product itself, so they are best positioned to provide accurate, in-depth, and authoritative answers especially for complex or edge-case scenarios that go beyond publicly available documentation or community knowledge.

Please know that while our initial response might not resolve the issue right away, your input is incredibly valuable. With a bit more detail, we’ll work together to find the best solution for you.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
