Hi Bob,

I hope you're having a nice day.

You can set up a background filter (background effects) in Microsoft Teams either before joining a meeting or during a meeting. Microsoft refers to this feature as Background effects or Video effects.

Before joining a meeting:

  • Open Microsoft Teams and select Join for your meeting.
  • On the pre-join screen, turn on your camera.
  • Select Effects and avatars (or Background filters, depending on your Teams version).
  • Choose Blur to blur your background, or select one of the available background images.
  • Join the meeting.

During a meeting:

  • Select More actions (...) in the meeting controls.
  • Choose Video effects and settings.

  • Select Video effects.
  • Choose Blur or another background image, then select Apply.

I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to leave a comment in this thread if you need further assistance.
