fix onenote please.

i am a student i use onenote to take notes . when i try to write with stylus one note freezes. it is hampering my work . it was fine while i used onenote for windows 10 . if you cant fix it .release the previous one .

I understand how disruptive this must be, especially when you rely on OneNote for taking notes in class.

To help narrow this down, could you please let us know:

• Which OneNote version and build are you currently using? You can check under File > Account > About OneNote.
• What device and stylus model are you using?
• Does OneNote freeze in every notebook, including a new blank page, or only in a specific notebook?
• Does the stylus work normally in other apps such as Paint or Microsoft Whiteboard?
• When this happens, does only OneNote stop responding, or does the entire computer freeze?

In the meantime, please try the following:

1. Open a new blank page in OneNote and test the stylus there.
2. Test the pen in Paint or Microsoft Whiteboard. If it also freezes there, check for available stylus, touch-screen and device driver updates through Windows Update and your device manufacturer.
3. Update OneNote by opening File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
4. Repair the Microsoft 365 installation through Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft 365 > Modify > Quick Repair, then restart the computer.
5. If possible, try temporarily disconnecting other drawing tablets or pen-related accessories to check for a conflict.

Please note that support for OneNote for Windows 10 ended in October 2025, and Microsoft recommends using the current OneNote on Windows app. Therefore, returning to the previous app may not be a reliable long-term option.
