One of my team members is having issues with Attachments on Outlook 365. When she receive some emails with attachments she will be able to open the attachment with no issues initially. However, when she attempt to open the attachment again later she will receive an error from adobe or if it's a word doc it will just open a blank word document. Additionally, this happens on her laptop client, Webmail and outlook on her iphone. This doesn't happen to all attachments, just random ones and it isn't specific to individual senders either. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi Mohit Arora

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few additional details?

    • Is the mailbox a Microsoft 365 work/school account (provided by your organization/school) or a personal Microsoft account?
    • Does this happen with attachments that are sent directly as files, or only with files that are stored in OneDrive/SharePoint and attached as links?
    • When the issue occurs, can the affected user download the attachment and open the downloaded copy successfully?
    • For PDF files, what is the exact Adobe error message shown?
    • Does another user who receives the same email experience the same behavior when reopening the attachment?

I look forward to your response.
