MDT build 8456 is the latest version available on the Microsoft Download Center, we do not need to operate it. Please remove the Windows ADK and the WinPE add-on for the Windows 10, and then download and install the WinPE add-on and the ADK for Windows 11 to have a try.

We could right-click and uninstall the WinPE add-on, and then install it.

What if you want to have boot images from both the Win 11 and Win 10 PE environments available for selection at deployment? Obviously you would have to select an operating system with for the correct boot image. The problem with using the latest is that some hardware may not be supported in the Win 11 PE environment that is supported in Win 10, and using the older image is fine on those systems because you are going to deploy Win 10. We have found that to be the case.
