    Hi

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how urgent this is, especially if you need access to the workbook for work right away.

If you need immediate access to the file, I recommend trying Excel for the web first:

    1. Go to OneDrive or your organization's SharePoint/Teams location.
    2. Locate or upload the Excel workbook.
    3. Open the file in your browser using Excel for the web.

If the issue is with the Excel desktop application, please try the following steps:

1/ Open Excel in Safe Mode

This helps determine whether an add-in is causing Excel to crash.

    • Press Windows + R.
    • Type excel /safe.
    • Press Enter.

If Excel opens successfully in Safe Mode:

    • Go to File > Options > Add-ins.
    • At the bottom, next to Manage, select COM Add-ins.
    • Click Go.
    • Clear all add-in checkboxes.
    • Close Excel and reopen it normally.

If Excel works normally afterward, re-enable the add-ins one at a time to identify the problematic one.

2/ Run an Office Online Repair

If Safe Mode doesn't resolve the issue, try repairing your Microsoft 365 installation.

    Windows 11:

    • Right-click Start.
    • Select Installed apps.
    • Locate Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office.
    • Select the three dots (...) > Modify.
    • Choose Online Repair.
    • Click Repair.

    Windows 10:

    • Right-click Start.
    • Select Apps & Features.
    • Select Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office.
    • Click Modify.
    • Choose Online Repair.
    • Click Repair.

For additional guidance, please refer to: Repair an Office application | Microsoft Support

3/ Reinstall Microsoft 365 (If needed)

If Excel continues to display the same error after the Online Repair, the next step is to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365. If this is a work device, you may need to reinstall using your work account or through your organization's Company Portal.

I hope the information above is helpful. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if you need further assistance. I'll be glad to help.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
