Kernel Security Check Failure Win 11

Question

Today (22 July 2026) I started facing weird kind of error something about BWM and contacting administrator, and my screen started to blink which looked like desktop/taskbar isnt working, caz taskbar went missing and on desktop it is disappearing and appearing again, while this happening i was unable to type anything when desktop was not visible and notepad was being unfocused again and again with this disappearing

I restarted my PC and installed the available updates after which this issue seems to be ended but I am getting this Kernel Security Check Failure Black Screen.

I understand how concerning this issue is, especially since it was preceded by desktop and taskbar flickering, disappearing windows, and then a KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE stop error.

Based on the information provided, the TPM-WMI Event ID 1801 related to Secure Boot certificates is generally an informational event and is not typically the direct cause of a KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (0x139) crash.

Since the problem started around the time Windows updates were installed and was accompanied by desktop instability before the crash occurred, this may indicate system file corruption, a driver issue, or a problem introduced by a recent update. The KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE stop code indicates that Windows detected corruption in a critical kernel data structure.

Please try the following:

1, Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

2, Review Settings > Windows Update > Update history and check whether the issue began immediately after a recent update. If so, consider uninstalling the most recent quality update for testing.

3, Update your AMD chipset drivers and Radeon graphics drivers from the system or motherboard manufacturer's support website.

4, Perform a Clean Boot to determine whether a third-party service, driver, or security application is contributing to the crashes.
