Hi Kelly Wolslayer

Please reply with these:

  • Are you using Outlook.com in a browser only, or do you also use Classic Outlook for Windows?
  • Do the notes appear at OneNote Sticky Notes?
  • Does the Notes folder open but show a blank list, or does it fail to open completely?
  • Are the missing notes in Deleted Items or Recover items deleted from this folder?

Also try these steps:

1) Open the Notes folder directly in Outlook.com

  • Sign in to Outlook.com.
  • In the left folder list, scroll down and select Notes.
  • If you do not see it, expand Folders or More.
  • If the folder opens but appears blank, wait a few moments and refresh the page.

2) Check whether the notes appear in another Microsoft notes location

If these are synced Sticky Notes, check them from another supported location:

  • Open the Sticky Notes app on Windows and sign in with the same Microsoft account.
  • Open OneNote on mobile and check the Sticky Notes section.
  • Sign in at OneNote Sticky Notes with the same account.

3) Try a clean browser session

If the Notes folder shows the item count but the notes list is blank:

  • Open Microsoft Edge or Chrome in InPrivate/Incognito mode.
  • Go to Outlook.com.
  • Sign in with the affected account only.
  • Open the Notes folder again.
  • If it works there, clear the normal browser cache or disable browser extensions that may be affecting Outlook.com.

4) Check Deleted Items and recoverable items

If any notes were accidentally deleted:

  • In Outlook.com, open Deleted Items.
  • Search for the missing notes.
  • If found, restore or move them back.
  • If they are not in Deleted Items, select Recover items deleted from this folder, if available, and check there.

5) Try Classic Outlook for Windows if available

If you have Classic Outlook installed with the same Outlook.com account added:

  • Open Classic Outlook.
  • Press Ctrl + 5 to open Notes, or select More Apps > Notes.
  • If the notes appear, copy the contents somewhere safe immediately.
  • If Notes is hidden, right-click Notes and pin it to the navigation bar.

Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!
