    Hi Jacques Skinner,

Since the issue started immediately after updating the audio driver, the installed driver may not be compatible with your device or may not have installed correctly.

    Please try these steps:

1, Roll back the audio driver (if available)

    • Press Windows + X > Device Manager
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers
    • Right-click your audio device > Properties > Driver
    • Select Roll Back Driver, then restart your PC

    2, Reinstall the audio driver

    • In Device Manager, right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device
    • Restart your computer and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver

3, Install the manufacturer’s audio driver

    • Download the latest audio driver from your PC manufacturer's support website and install it
    • Avoid using third-party driver sources

    4, Verify the playback device

    • Go to Settings > System > Sound
    • Make sure the correct output device is selected

If the issue continues, please share more information as suggested by the Independent Advisor that will help identify the correct driver for your system.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

To be able to assist you better, please clarify the following:

When you updated the audio driver, did you use Device Manager or an installer to update it manually?

If you used an installer, where did you download it from?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Looking forward to your reply.
