I am currently unable to sign in with my work/school account on Windows. Every time I attempt to complete the sign-in process, I encounter an authentication error with error code ADSTS1002014.

Error Message:

AADSTS1002014: Unable to complete request. The request was invalid since domain_hint and opaque login_hint cannot be used together.

    Hi Khadija fatima

    You can try the following:

Disconnect and reconnect the work/school account:

    • Settings > Accounts > Access work or school
    • Select the affected account and choose Disconnect
    • Restart the device and add the account again.

    Clear any saved Microsoft credentials:

    • Open Credential Manager
    • Remove Microsoft 365, Office, Azure AD, or Work/School account entries
    • Restart Windows and try signing in again.

Or you can try signing in to Microsoft 365 through Office.com in a browser first, then return to Windows and retry the sign-in.

If this is a managed work or school account, the organization's IT administrator may also need to review the Microsoft Entra ID sign-in logs to determine whether a policy or authentication configuration is generating conflicting sign-in parameters. Please reach out to your organization's IT administrator for the best assistance.

    I hope this information helps.
