A free program from Microsoft that provides developers with the tools, resources, and sandbox environments needed to build solutions for Microsoft 365.
Update:
Thank you for your response.
I wanted to provide an update on everything I have tried so far.
- I contacted Microsoft Support and a support case was created (Case #****[Moderator note: personal info removed]).
I was advised to contact the Microsoft Data Protection team by phone. I called Microsoft Support and waited in the Data Protection queue for over 4 hours, but I was never connected to a Data Protection agent.
I was also advised to create a Microsoft 365 Business trial tenant and raise a support request on behalf of my affected tenant. Unfortunately, I was unable to use that process for my Microsoft 365 Developer Program tenant.
I still had access to the personal Microsoft account that I used to enroll in the Microsoft 365 Developer Program, but I could not access the Global Administrator account because the only MFA method (Microsoft Authenticator) was registered on my old phone, which had been factory reset.
There were no other Global Administrators available to reset my authentication methods.
Since I was unable to recover access through any of the available support channels, I decided to delete my Microsoft 365 Developer Program profile.
Within approximately 5 minutes, I rejoined the Microsoft 365 Developer Program using the same personal Microsoft account. However, instead of receiving a new developer subscription, my dashboard now shows my previous tenant ([Moderator note: personal info removed]) as inactive/expired with 0/0 days remaining, and it states that the subscription will be deleted if it is not used.
Could you please clarify the following?
Is my original tenant ([Moderator note: personal info removed]) still recoverable, or is it permanently inactive?
Why was a new developer sandbox not provisioned after I rejoined the Developer Program?
Do I need to wait before I am eligible to receive a new Microsoft 365 Developer Program subscription, or is there another step that I need to complete?
Is there any way to reactivate my Developer Program subscription or provision a new sandbox?
Thank you for your time and assistance. I appreciate any guidance you can provide.Update:
