I am a math teacher. My colleagues and I rely heavily on being able to insert equations, images, and text boxes into documents to present to our students. We need more options than the standard document to read through.

Can the online version of Microsoft 365 online mimic the features of the desktop version? For example, being able to type equations directly into the document, inserting text boxes, as well as being able to wrap text on text boxes and be able to move them freely around the document would be fantastic options.

Sorry, the online version of Word is less capable than the desktop edition.

Equations must be entered in a task pane, not directly on the page.

Insertion of text boxes is not supported and text wrapping cannot be set. Word for the web will display text boxes and wrapping that has been created on a desktop, but cannot produce those.
