Microsoft Team Notification

Dear Microsoft Teams Team,

I would like to request a feature that automatically hides Teams notifications whenever a user is presenting or sharing their desktop.

Currently, incoming chat notifications may appear on the shared screen, which can unintentionally expose private or confidential conversations to a wider audience. Automatically enabling a “Do Not Disturb” or notification-suppression mode during presentations would significantly improve privacy and the overall user experience.

I would appreciate your consideration of this feature in a future update.

I can certainly see the value of this idea. Automatically suppressing notifications while presenting or sharing a screen could help prevent accidental exposure of private or confidential information, improve privacy, and provide a smoother experience during meetings and presentations.

As a potential workaround today, Teams provides several notification-related settings that may help reduce interruptions while presenting:

• Disable Show notifications during calls and meetings in Teams notification settings. 
• Use Do Not Disturb (DND) status before starting a presentation.
• Configure Priority access so only selected contacts can reach you while DND is active.

While these options may not fully match the behavior you're proposing, I hope they help reduce the risk of unexpected notifications appearing during presentations, team meetings, training sessions, or customer-facing discussions.

To help ensure your idea reaches the Teams product team directly, I would also encourage you to submit it through Help > Give feedback in Microsoft Teams or via the Microsoft Feedback Portal.
