    Hi Pat,

Thank you for sharing the error message.

As this is a user-to-user community forum, I do not have the ability to directly access or modify your account or service. However, I can provide guidance, recommend next steps, share applicable resources, and direct you to the appropriate support channels so the issue can be investigated further.

The error code 30182-2016 (3) usually indicates that the Visio installer was unable to download or access one or more required installation files, or that there may be a conflict with the existing Microsoft Office installation on the device.

First, please make sure that you have a license that includes the Visio desktop app, such as Visio Plan 2. If you only have Visio Plan 1, please note that it generally provides access to Visio for the web and does not include the Visio desktop application.

    • To confirm your license, please go to: My account > Subscriptions
    • Then check which Visio license is assigned to your account.

If you confirm that you have the correct license and the issue still occurs, please try the following steps:

    1/ Check your Office architecture

    • Open any Office app, such as Word or Excel.
    • Go to File > Account > About Word/Excel.
    • Confirm whether Office is installed as 32-bit or 64-bit.
    • Visio must be installed using the same architecture as your existing Office apps.

    2/ Try a different network

    • If you are connected to a corporate network, VPN, proxy, or restricted Wi-Fi, please try switching to another network, such as a mobile hotspot.
    • This helps confirm whether the installer is being blocked from downloading required files.

3/ Temporarily disable VPN or proxy

    • If your organization allows it, temporarily disconnect from VPN or proxy and try the installation again.
    • Some network security tools may block Microsoft Office installation content.

4/ Remove previous Office or Visio installation remnants

5/ Install Visio again from the Microsoft 365 portal

    • After completing the steps above, go back to the Microsoft 365 portal and try downloading and installing Visio again.

If the issue persists after these steps, please send me the following details so I can investigate further:

    • Screenshot of the error message
    • Your assigned Visio license shown under My account > Subscriptions
    • Current Office version and architecture, 32-bit or 64-bit
    • Whether you are using VPN, proxy, or corporate network
    • Whether any previous version of Visio or Office was installed on the device

Please understand that my initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I hope this information is helpful. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
