Hi James Lippert,
I understand how concerning this can be, especially if it looks like two years of financial data has disappeared.
Since Microsoft Money Plus Sunset is a discontinued product and no longer supported by Microsoft, you can still try a few troubleshooting steps. Microsoft has previously confirmed that Money Plus Sunset is a legacy product with support having ended years ago.
Based on your description, it sounds possible that a view, filter, or account selection was changed accidentally rather than the data being deleted.
Could you please check the following:
- In Money, verify that the correct account is selected and that you have not switched to a different account register.
- Look for any date filters or report filters and change them to show All Dates if available.
- If Money offers File > Restore Backup, check whether you have a recent backup (.mbf) that can be opened for comparison.
To help narrow this down further, could you also let me know:
- Which version are you using (Money Plus Sunset Deluxe or Money Plus Sunset Home & Business)?
- Are the missing entries absent from all accounts, or only from one specific account?
- Do you still see the account balances from those two years, or have the balances changed as well?
