Dear @Wall, Debra,
Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!
Based on your description, I understand that the data in your Excel worksheet is not always lining up correctly between the name column and the number column, and you would like help adjusting the cell alignment so related information appears next to each other correctly.
To better understand what's happening, could you please clarify:
- Are the names and numbers appearing in different rows, or are they within the correct rows but visually misaligned inside the cells?
- Does this occur only in certain cells or throughout the worksheet?
- Are any cells merged in the affected area?
- If possible, can you share a screenshot of how the data appears versus how you expect it to look?
Your confirmation would be very helpful in ensuring you receive the most suitable support!
In the meantime, please try these steps:
- Select the affected cells or columns > Right-click and choose Format Cells
- On the Alignment tab:
- Set Horizontal alignment to General or Left (for names)
- Set Vertical alignment to Center
- Check whether Wrap Text is enabled and disable it if it's causing uneven row heights
- Select the rows and go to Home > Format > Cells > AutoFit Row Height
- Check for merged cells by going to Home > Merge & Center and selecting Unmerge Cells if needed
If you’re able to share a bit more about your situation, I might be able to suggest some helpful next steps.
Kindly let me know when there are updates or if you need further assistance. Any updates you’re able to share would be really helpful. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing how things are going!
Thank you for your time and patience.
