    Hi jon middleton
I understand that you want to view the email from 2015, and I see that the AI answer has provide some steps that you can tried first, so please refer to the AI answer below to see if it helps, in addition you can try the steps below:

    1. Open https://outlook.live.com/mail/ in a desktop browser.
    2. Go to Sent Items first, then use the search box at the top of Outlook.com.
    3. Try searching with the most specific details you remember or specific email from a specific sender

Please reply with whether you are using Outlook.com on the web, new Outlook for Windows, or classic Outlook, and whether you remember the recipient, subject, or approximate month in 2015. That information can help narrow the search.

Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!

To find sent emails from 2015, check these places and settings:

    1. Open the Sent Items folder for the correct account.
      • If there are multiple accounts in Outlook, each account has its own Sent Items folder.
      • Use search with keywords, or narrow it with To: or Subject:.
    2. If the messages do not appear, increase how much mail is kept offline.
      • In classic Outlook: File > Account Settings > Account Settings > select the account > Change > move Mail to keep offline or Download email for the past to a longer period or All.
      • In new Outlook for Windows: Settings > General > Offline > change Days of email to save to a larger amount.
      • Older sent mail may exist on the server but not be downloaded locally if the sync period is limited.
    3. Check Deleted Items or Trash.
      • Sent items might have been deleted.
    4. If classic Outlook is being used, check whether the old mail is in a local Outlook data file (.pst).
      • Open it with File > Open & Export > Open Outlook Data File.
      • By default, classic Outlook searches only the current mailbox unless the search scope is changed to All Mailboxes.
    5. If search still does not find older mail in classic Outlook, test with a new Outlook profile.
      • Go to File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles > Show Profiles > Add.
      • Start Outlook with the new profile and test search again.
    6. If this is an old Hotmail/Outlook.com account that has not been signed in to for a long time, the account may no longer exist.
      • If an account has not been signed in to for more than 2 years, it may have been deleted.
