    Hi GEOFFREY,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, I understand that your microphone is connected through an audio interface.

To help narrow down the cause of the issue, could you please check the following:

1/ Verify whether the issue also occurs when using Teams on the web.

Please sign in to Teams through a web browser and check whether the microphone works correctly there.

2/ Check whether the computer can detect the microphone when it is connected directly to the computer.

If possible, connect the microphone directly to your computer instead of through the audio interface and see whether it is recognized.

3/ Update the driver for your audio interface.

Outdated or incompatible drivers may prevent the microphone from being detected correctly. You can refer to the manufacturer's documentation for instructions on updating the driver:

Update drivers through Device Manager in Windows - Microsoft Support

4/ Verify whether Windows is receiving input from the microphone.

Press Windows + I to open Settings > System > Sound. Under the Input section, check whether the input level responds when you speak into the microphone.

5/ Confirm that Teams has detected the correct audio device.

Open Teams > Settings > Devices. Under the Microphone section, make sure that your audio interface is selected as the active input device.

6/ Ensure that the microphone is connected to the correct port on the audio interface.

Please verify that the microphone cable is securely connected and plugged into the appropriate input port on the audio interface.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.

If Windows is not seeing the audio interface as an input device, use this order:

    1. Check whether the device appears in Settings > System > Sound > Input.
      • If it appears, select it as the input device.
      • Open its properties, run Start test, speak normally, then Stop test and Play to confirm signal is reaching Windows.
    2. Make sure microphone access is enabled.
      • In Windows 10: Start > Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
      • Turn on Allow apps to access your microphone.
      • Also turn on access for desktop apps.
    3. Reinstall the audio device driver if Windows is not detecting it.
      • Right-click Start > Device Manager.
      • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device.
      • If shown, select the option to remove/delete the driver software.
      • Restart the PC.
      • If Windows does not reinstall it automatically, open Device Manager, right-click Sound, video and game controllers, and select Scan for hardware changes.
      • Then right-click the audio driver and select Update driver.
    4. If the interface is detected but there is still no input signal:
      • Confirm the microphone or headset is connected correctly.
      • In Settings > System > Sound, make sure the correct input device is selected.
      • Test the microphone in Windows and watch for input activity.
    5. If the interface stopped working after switching audio modes in recording software, fully reset the interface connection.
      • Close the recording app.
      • Disconnect the audio interface USB cable.
      • Shut down the PC completely.
      • Start Windows again.
      • Reconnect the interface and let Windows detect it.
      • Then check input again in Windows Sound settings.
    6. If the interface has its own control software and Windows sees the device but no signal comes in, check that software for muted inputs or routing problems before reopening the recording app.

If the device does not appear at all in Device Manager or Sound settings after these steps, the next useful check is trying a different USB port and then testing the interface on another PC to isolate whether the issue is Windows detection or the interface itself.
