A video editing tool developed by Microsoft, designed to make video creation easy and accessible for everyone.
Hi, Sufiyan Rakhange
This usually happens when Clipchamp must convert the video format in the background, especially HEVC/H.265 footage. A refresh cancels unfinished processing, and there is currently no documented option to resume a partially completed import.
Besides the solutions provided by the Q&A Assist, here are some suggestions you can try:
Check the clips’ video codec, not only the MP4 file extension. If they use HEVC/H.265, convert them to H.264 MP4. H.264 files generally import much faster, and this approach has resolved long import times for other users.
Update Clipchamp from the Microsoft Store, or update Edge/Chrome before trying again. Also install available Windows and graphics-driver updates.
Keep Clipchamp open in the foreground while the clips are processing. Close other applications and browser tabs, and avoid Incognito or InPrivate mode so the browser does not reduce the resources assigned to Clipchamp.
Test the opposite version. If the Windows app stalls, try the latest Edge browser, or try the Windows app if the browser version stalls.
If it still happens with H.264 clips, submit feedback from Clipchamp and include the codec, file sizes, and where the progress stops.
Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
