My Outlook.com mailbox contains several corrupted group entries (including “Vada Gerlach” and others) that cannot be deleted or left from Outlook.com or Outlook Classic. They do not appear in folders, favorites, or subscriptions, and they persist even after creating a new Outlook profile.

Please remove these orphaned group objects from my mailbox and rebuild the mailbox metadata so they no longer appear.

This cannot be removed directly from Outlook.com or by creating a new Outlook profile when the group membership is orphaned or corrupted.

For Outlook.com group entries that cannot be left and show errors such as members not loading or invalid member ID behavior, the documented path is to contact Outlook.com support for account-level investigation.

    Use this path in Outlook.com:

    1. Open Outlook.com.
    2. Select Help on the menu bar.
    3. Describe the issue.
    4. Scroll to Still need help?
    5. Select Yes to contact Outlook.com support.

    Include:

    • the affected group names, such as Vada Gerlach
    • the exact error behavior
    • that the entries do not appear in folders, favorites, or subscriptions
    • that they persist after creating a new Outlook profile

    Relevant documented limits and behavior:

    • Only group owners can edit group settings or delete a group.
    • Deleting a group removes its inbox content and related data.
    • A deleted group can be restored for up to 30 days.
    • When the members page cannot load and leaving the group fails, this is treated as an account-level issue rather than a self-service cleanup.
