Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Microsoft has implemented several AI filters to block junk/spam emails delivered to your inbox; however, some emails slip through the cracks.

    1. May I please know if the emails are being delivered directly to your Inbox folder?
    2. Are these emails from a specific sender, and do they have the same subject line?
    3. Are you receiving emails from different senders, even after adding those senders to your blocked senders list?

If the emails are being delivered to your Junk Email folder, it means Microsoft’s junk email filter is working correctly by categorizing them as junk. Emails in this folder will be automatically deleted after 10 days.

However, if the emails are being delivered directly to your Inbox and are not being filtered,

    • Create a new email rule using a specific sender address or subject line, then move those emails to the Junk Email or Deleted Items folder.
    • Add the sender’s address to your Blocked Senders list.

To create a new email rule, sign in with your account here -

    https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/mail/rules

Click "New Rule". Then add a condition and action.

    --*

To add the sender's address to the blocked sender's list,

Go to Outlook Settings > Mail > Junk email > Blocked Senders and domains.

    Add the sender's address there.

Let me know if you still need more help.

Blocking and reporting help, but they do not stop junk mail from being delivered entirely. In Outlook, blocked senders and domains are typically moved to the Junk Email folder rather than prevented from arriving.

Try this in new Outlook for Windows / Outlook.com-style settings:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Go to Mail > Junk email.
    3. Under Blocked senders and domains, add the unwanted sender addresses or entire domains.
    4. Under Safe senders and domains, add trusted senders so wanted mail does not go to Junk.
    5. Make sure Automatically filter junk email is enabled if that option is available.
    6. If the same sender was blocked by mistake, remove it from the blocked list.
    7. If wanted mail is already in Junk Email, open it and select It’s not junk.

    Important limits:

    • Blocking a sender/domain sends matching mail to Junk Email; it does not fully stop delivery.
    • Rules may not help if the messages are already being delivered directly to Junk Email.
    • Junk email is automatically deleted after a period of time, and messages there are not recoverable after deletion.

    To reduce spam further:

    • Do not reply to spam.
    • Be cautious with unsubscribe links unless the sender is trusted.
    • Avoid exposing the address publicly.
    • Keep reporting junk/phishing so filtering can improve.
