    Hi,

If you purchased additional OneDrive storage recently, please note that it can take up to 48 hours for the additional storage to sync.

If you still cannot see the additional storage after that time frame, try resetting OneDrive: https://support.microsoft.com/onedrive/reset-onedrive

Also, check OneDrive on the web to see if your storage has been updated: https://onedrive.live.com

If the additional storage is still not showing after 48 hours, your next best step is to contact Microsoft Support directly so they can check your subscription and storage allocation.

    Click this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

Sign in to your Microsoft account.

Select Microsoft 365 > Click 'Get home support'.

Type "Chat with an agent" from the text field and press Enter.

Click "Contact support" at the bottom.

Select the product you need help with.

Follow the prompts to connect with a live agent or request a call back.

If Microsoft cloud storage is full, buying Microsoft 365 does not always fix it immediately. The supported causes and fixes are:

    1. Check whether the subscription is active.
      • Go to the Microsoft account services page and confirm the Microsoft 365 subscription is listed as active.
      • If the subscription expired or renewal failed, the OneDrive quota can drop.
    2. Check what is actually full.
      • Microsoft cloud storage includes OneDrive files and photos, Outlook.com attachments and pictures, and other files stored with a personal Microsoft account.
      • Outlook.com email storage is separate from Microsoft cloud storage.
      • If either Outlook.com mailbox storage or OneDrive storage is full, email can stop working.
    3. Review storage usage.
      • Sign in to OneDrive and open Manage your OneDrive storage to see what is taking space.
      • Empty the Recycle Bin if needed, because Recycle Bin items count toward OneDrive storage.
      • In Outlook.com, check mailbox storage to see what is taking up space there.
    4. Wait for the quota update.
      • After buying storage or Microsoft 365, storage changes can take up to 24 hours to appear.
      • Similar support guidance also notes it can take up to 48 hours in some cases.
    5. Refresh OneDrive if storage still shows full after waiting.
      • Unlink and relink the OneDrive account.
      • This is a safe refresh step and can help when the purchased storage is not showing correctly.
    6. If still over quota, reduce usage or buy more storage.
      • Delete files that are no longer needed.
      • Empty the OneDrive Recycle Bin.
      • Free users can buy a subscription.
      • Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers can add more file storage beyond the included 1 TB. Only the subscription account holder can extend storage.
    7. Important effects of being over quota.
      • OneDrive will stop uploading, editing, or syncing new files.
      • Existing files remain read-only.
      • Outlook.com may stop sending and receiving email.
      • After 6 months over quota, OneDrive files may be deleted and are non-recoverable.

If the subscription is active, more than 24 to 48 hours have passed, and storage still shows full, the next supported step is to contact Microsoft Support through the Get Help app or the Microsoft support contact page.
