Hi,

With office 365 E3 license, are we able to have summarize button in Outlook classic with 2608 (20326.20100).

I have two users who have the same outlook classic version and license setup, one has summarize button when opening the outlook and the other one has no summarize button. Can we please confirm what steps requires for the other user to appear the summarize button?

Thank you.

    Dear @Adela-1413,

Based on your description, the Summarize button in Outlook Classic is a Microsoft 365 Copilot feature. An Office 365 E3 license alone does not provide Copilot functionality. The user must also have a valid Microsoft 365 Copilot license assigned.

If both users have the same Outlook version (2608 / 20326.20100) and appear to have the same licensing, please verify the following:

    1. Confirm Microsoft 365 Copilot licensing
      • Ask your admin go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Users > Active users.
      • Select the affected user and verify that a Microsoft 365 Copilot license is assigned and provisioned.
    2. Verify Connected Experiences are enabled
      • In Classic Outlook, go to: File > Office Account > Account Privacy > Manage Settings
      • Ensure that connected experiences are enabled, as Copilot features depend on these settings.

Additionally, It may be missing in Classic Outlook despite the user having a valid license. If all settings and licensing are confirmed, the issue could be related to a service-side rollout or a known product issue currently under investigation.
