Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
Hi Fatemeh,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Based on your description, appointments that are created in the shared calendar have recently started appearing as "Private Appointment."
Please help check the following:
Note: The steps below require an account with Administrator privileges for the tenant. If you do not have administrator access, please contact your organization's administrator or IT department for assistance. 1/ Please verify whether this issue also occurs for other users who are using the same shared calendar.
2/ Please run the following PowerShell command to check the account's permissions on the shared calendar:
Get-MailboxFolderPermission "SharedMailbox:\Calendar"
3/ Please try using a different account, grant that account Editor permissions on the shared calendar, and then create a new appointment to determine whether the issue persists.
4/ Additionally, please consult with your administrator to confirm whether any recent changes were made around the time the issue first started occurring, including:
- Exchange Online policies
- Sensitivity Labels in Microsoft Purview
- Mailbox Permissions
- Calendar Sharing Settings
In addition, if you are unable to delete the test appointments that you created, there is a high likelihood that your account permissions have been changed. In this case, please contact the shared mailbox owner or administrator for assistance in removing those test appointments.
I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
I look forward to continuing the conversation.
