    Hi, David Flakelar

This usually happens when Office is using an old license or the wrong Microsoft account.

First, sign in at Microsoft account Services & subscriptions and confirm the new subscription appears as active. Then open Word on the Mac, sign out of every account, quit all Office apps, reopen Word, and sign in with the exact email address linked to that subscription. A Microsoft 365 subscription is activated by signing in, not by entering a product key.

If Office still shows “No license found” or keeps requesting activation, it is recommended that you use the official Office License Removal Tool for Mac. Quit all Office apps, run the tool, restart the Mac, and sign in again. This removes stored license information from the Mac, but it does not cancel or delete the subscription.

Also open any Office app and select Help > Check for Updates > Update All. If activation still fails, check the specific error code against the Office for Mac activation troubleshooting guide.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
