I am trying to share a PowerPoint with someone and it isn't showing up. Both computers are signed into the correct account and PowerPoint is updated on both computers. What else could be the issue?

    Hi Williams, Matthew,

Since both devices use the correct account and PowerPoint is updated, please check whether the presentation has additional access restrictions:

    1. Open the presentation and select File > Info > Protect Presentation > Restrict Access.
    2. If restricted access is enabled, confirm that the recipient is included with the required permission.
    3. If the recipient is outside your organization, ask them to check their Junk/Spam folder for a sharing invitation or one-time verification code.

If it still does not appear, could you clarify whether the recipient receives no invitation at all or receives an error when opening it? The exact behavior will help narrow down whether this is an invitation-delivery or access-restriction issue.

I hope this helps you identify what is preventing the presentation from appearing. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.

If the presentation is not showing up for the other person, the most common issue is that the file is not actually saved to the cloud location used for sharing.

    Try this:

    1. Open the presentation in PowerPoint.
    2. Select Share in the top-right corner.
    3. If prompted, save or upload the file to OneDrive first.
    4. In the Share dialog, enter the person’s name or email address.
    5. Check the permission setting next to the name field and make sure it is set to Can view or Can edit as needed.
    6. Select Send.

    Other things to check:

    • If the file is still only on the device, it will need to be uploaded before it can appear for sharing or co-authoring.
    • If a link was shared, review the link settings under Settings or create a new one with Share > Copy Link.
    • To confirm whether the file is already shared, go to Share > Manage Access and review who has access.
    • If changes were expected to appear automatically, that works when the presentation is saved to OneDrive or SharePoint in Microsoft 365.

If needed, save the presentation to OneDrive again and resend the share invitation rather than relying on an older link.
