Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
For Microsoft for Startups verification and other program-specific issues, the supported route is Microsoft for Startups Program Support, not standard Azure Help + Support.
Use one of these portal paths, depending on the experience tied to the startup account:
- Azure Portal path
- Sign in to the Azure portal.
- Go to the startup homepage.
- In Overview, find Your Microsoft Team.
- Select Get program support.
- Microsoft for Startups Portal path
- Sign in to the Microsoft for Startups Portal.
- Select the ? icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Submit a Support Ticket.
- Attach relevant documents or screenshots of the verification error.
If the account is on the newer Azure Portal experience, Azure technical issues can also be submitted through:
- ? icon → Help + support → Create a support request
For the reported scenario, the key distinction is:
- Program Support handles program onboarding, Azure credit activation, benefit redemption, billing profile issues, entitlement corrections, and portal access problems.
- Program Support does not handle Azure service outages, production debugging, architecture design, or performance tuning.
If Your Microsoft Team is missing, use the Microsoft for Startups Portal support ticket path above. Include screenshots of the missing section and the “We couldn’t verify your startup” message, plus the verification documents requested in the ticket attachment flow.
If unsure which team to contact, start with Microsoft for Startups Program Support for verification and benefit questions.
