Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi, Homes
Hi, if the colors changed recently without you changing the settings, first check whether the Office theme changed. In classic Outlook, select File > Office Account, then try White, Colorful, or Use system setting under Office Theme. Dark or high-contrast themes can make the same calendar colors look noticeably different.
It is also recommended that you update Office. Select File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now, then restart Outlook. There was a known classic Outlook issue where the Out of Office indicator changed from purple to a lighter color after an Office update. This was corrected in a later build.
If the issue affects only the calendar layout or shading, try creating a fresh calendar view rather than editing the current one:
Open Calendar.
Select View > Change View > Manage Views > New.
Create a new Day/Week/Month view and apply it.
A fresh view can help when the saved calendar view has become altered or corrupted.
Also, please confirm whether all calendar colors changed, or only items marked Out of Office, as that points to different causes.
Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
