i bought a new laptop,it came with windows installed,windows updates are stucked on" pause one week"and this doesn't aloud me to install apps. the message is :there's a problem with your windows update .start and try again.

Try these steps in order:

Resume updates and check again Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If updates were paused for one week, Windows requires the latest updates to be installed before updates can be paused again.
Make sure the laptop is online and plugged in Windows Update needs an internet connection. Download time also depends on connection speed and update size.
Restart the laptop Then go back to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Run the Windows Update troubleshooter
- On newer Windows settings paths: Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Windows Update > Run
- In some Windows Update flows: Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Windows Update > Run the troubleshooter
Check that the Windows Update service is running
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Find Windows Update.
- Right-click Properties.
- Set Startup type to Automatic.
- If the service is stopped, select Start.
- Select Apply and OK.
- Restart the PC and check for updates again.
Make sure there is enough free space Windows needs at least 16 GB free for a 32-bit OS or 20 GB for a 64-bit OS to upgrade.
Repair system files Open Command Prompt as administrator and run these commands one at a time:

   DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
   sfc /scannow
```
Wait for each command to finish, then try Windows Update again.
Reset Windows Update components Warning: this renames Windows Update cache folders and requires admin rights. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run:

Restart the laptop after the commands complete.

If the laptop is stuck during first-time setup or keeps failing after restart Boot into Windows Recovery Environment by interrupting startup three times, then use:
