Print button missing in Word

Question

After selecting File - Print , my computer opens the print option but the actual "print" button is not working no matter how many times I try.

My IT support has installed / reinstalled and repaired the word Microsoft office, but the print button is still not working.

Please advise!

My role here is limited to general guidance you can apply from your side. Since reinstalling and repairing Office did not help, the cause is more likely the selected printer, its driver, or the document itself rather than the Word installation. Please test these items:

• Create a new blank Word document, type a few words, and try printing it.
• Try printing from another application, such as Notepad, Preview, or a PDF reader.
• In File > Print, confirm that a valid physical printer is selected.
• Try selecting Microsoft Print to PDF
• Check whether the printer is paused, offline, or has jobs stuck in its print queue.

If Word cannot print to any printer but other applications can, the issue is Word-specific. If no application can print, focus on the printer connection, queue, or driver. A screenshot of the File > Print screen would also help, just remember to mask any personal or account details before posting it.

I managed to print by clicking on the file - more options then another "print" appeared, however the original button is still missing.

If the Word window is small, you may have to click File > More to see all the options presented on the File screen. Print is one of those options. Just to clarify, is that the Print option that you are referring to? The screen shot below illustrates what you may see.
