Windows 11

I have 2 external displays. One a 4K the other 1080p. I don’t use the laptop screen. The desktop is streched across the two monitors. Have always run it this way in W10 without any problems. Using a ThinkPad 30AN0135US dock.

Am now using W11 with latest W11 Intel and NVDA drivers as I have hybrid graphics on the P43s.

19-Oct Eject USB HDD from dock causes 2nd external monitor on stretched display to lose all icons and show desktop only then icons reappear as normal.

20-Oct Closing exploer window on 2nd external monitor after a search for files triggers a randome screen black out, disppearing of icons then resumption in about a few seconds.

20-Oct When highlighting a file for copy, using the select key to highlight many and then clicking copy causes the cursor to jump to the next available non highlighed file below those highlighted. This is usually done on the 2nd external monitor. Its super annoying!

20-Oct When ejecting USB drive, explorer window on 2nd monitor triggers a randome screen black out, disppearing of icons then resumption in about a few seconds.

21-Oct Closing exploer window on 2nd external monitor after looking at contents of drives including USB drive triggers a randome screen black out, disppearing of icons then resumption in about a few seconds.

Eliminating the extrnal drive doesn’t produce the above result.

Yea I'm having more multi monitor and multi window issues on the OS that's supposedly better for those things than on Windows 10 before...

On Windows 10 I sometimes had to move some windows back to their spot when I turned off my monitors but on Windows 11, not only does that still happen even though it was said that won't anymore, but it also seems to shuffle around monitors internally as it keeps screwing up game clients causing the game to hang up in around 60% of the cases when I turn off monitors and come back later. And what's worse is every time I reboot my PC, old games that treat different monitors plugged into the same graphics card as different graphics cards for monitor assigning purposes just flat out don't work half the time until I go into their extermal settings and change the output "graphics card". Windows 11 has only been a huge loss of productivity and increase in issues for me so far...

Having a related problem. 2 monitors plus laptop screen now using Win 11. At first the 2 monitors worked, but the laptop screen was switched off. All 3 monitors are detected, but the laptop screen shows in settings and switched off. It won't let me change the setting to "extend these displays" - everytime I hit save this setting, it reverted to swiched off.

Now only one monitor working. Settings shows "Show only on 2". and it will not let me change it. I can select "extend these displays" but it reverts to show only on 2 when I hit save.

    Rebooting hasn't helped.

My answer is late, but it still can be usefull i think.
Have same problem. Looks like W11 need more power consumption then W10. Just check your Electricity. After replacing the outlet, problem went away. On W10 everyithing was fine.
p.s. my screens - 2k dell and 4k lg tv.
