Microsoft message regarding Blazer

Question

Received a Microsoft email message saying "One of your threads is under moderation review regarding a "Blazer Problem". I don't know what this means and I don't believe I have Blazer on my computer. Can you help me?

This message most likely refers to a Microsoft Q&A discussion titled “Blazer Problem,” not to a program installed on your computer. A moderation review means that a post or reply in that discussion was reported for a possible community-guideline issue.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Do not select any links or open attachments in the email until you verify it.

Check the full sender address. A genuine Q&A notification is normally sent from a Microsoft-owned domain, but the displayed sender name alone is not proof.

Open a new browser window and go directly to Microsoft Q&A. Sign in, select your profile, and review your questions, answers, comments, and notification settings. Look for a thread named “Blazer Problem.”

If you find the thread, the notice only means a moderator is reviewing reported content. It does not mean your computer contains something called Blazer.

If you do not recognize the thread or sender, report the email as phishing in Outlook by selecting Report > Report phishing, then delete it. Avoid replying or entering your password through the email.
