Quick step

My Quick Steps emails are now formatting in Aptos font since the Microsoft update.

I have set my fonts as per Options>Mail>Stationery and Fonts to Calibri which works for my standard new emails.

However when running a Quick Step to create a new email, the font is still referring back to Aptos.

Please can someone advise how to change my Quick Step emails back to Calibri 11?

    Hi Linda,

Thank you for the information provided.

Since standard new emails already open in Calibri 11, the issue appears to be specific to the formatting style used when Outlook creates a message through Quick Steps.

Please follow the action plan below in Classic Outlook:

Open a New Email and type a short sample in the message body.

Select the sample text and set it to Calibri, 11 pt.

    Open the Format Text tab.

Select Change Styles > Fonts > Calibri.

Select Change Styles > Set as Default.

Close Outlook completely, reopen it, and test the Quick Step again.

If Quick Step emails continue to use Aptos, please let us know the Outlook version and build number from File > Office Account > About Outlook. We will then review the next troubleshooting step involving the Outlook email template.

For classic Outlook, the supported way to control the default compose font is:

    1. Go to File > Options > Mail.
    2. Under Compose messages, select Stationery and Fonts.
    3. Under New mail messages, select Font.
    4. Set:
      • Font: +Body or Calibri
      • Font style: Regular
      • Size: 11
      • Font color: Automatic
    5. Under Replying or forwarding messages, set the same values if needed.
    6. Select OK three times.

To restore the original classic Outlook defaults specifically, use:

    • Font: +Body
    • Font style: Regular
    • Size: 11
    • Font color: Automatic

The documented behavior is that these settings apply to new messages and to replies/forwards independently, and changes take effect immediately.

The available context does not include a separate Quick Steps-specific font setting in classic Outlook. Since standard new messages already follow the Calibri setting in the described scenario, only the general compose font path above is documented.
