I was wondering, most of the stuff online says you should be able to install bedrock add-ons for Minecraft education edition, but whenever I try to install a cinematic camera angle add-on it just says "world import starting..." and then 5 seconds later "world import failed." could someone please help me figure this out? It doesn't really matter which cinematic camera angle type Add-On it is, just that I need it for a project.
also, every question so far seems to be people mixing up Add-Ons and Mods, but I already know that mods are for java and add-ons are for bedrock/education.
(I am on a Chromebook right now, if it helps)
thanks!

The repeated import failure most likely means those cinematic-camera packages contain content that Minecraft Education cannot import, so test the add-on separately from any bundled world before looking for another camera pack.
.mcpack or .mcaddon..mcworld..zip or another format; these Minecraft file types have specific internal structures. For example, .mcaddon contains packs or worlds, while .mcworld contains a complete world. ^1^.mcpack or .mcaddon.
.mcworld fails, the bundled world is the incompatible part..mcpack, .mcaddon, and .mcworld packages and testing add-ons before using them in a project. ^2^A valid Bedrock extension does not guarantee Education compatibility. A cinematic pack may rely on an API, experiment, manifest version, or other behavior unavailable in the installed Education release. If several unrelated camera add-ons all fail while ordinary Education-compatible packs import, that points to camera-pack compatibility rather than a general Chromebook import problem. The official import troubleshooting guidance also recommends checking the file type and source when worlds or templates fail to import. ^4^
Bedrock documents a native /camera command, but its availability in a particular Minecraft Education release is not established by that Bedrock documentation. In your blank Education world:
/help camera, or type /camera and check whether autocomplete recognizes it./camera @s set minecraft:free ease 3 in_out_cubic pos 0 100 0 rot -45 90
/camera @s clear
The first command creates a three-second eased camera movement; the second returns to the normal camera. The command requires cheats and Game Director permission. ^5^
If /camera is not recognized, updating is worth trying, but continued absence may simply mean that command is unavailable in your Education release. Do not rely on it for the project unless the installed client exposes it.
If you are permitted to modify the third-party pack, inspect it with Minecraft Creator Tools:
.mcaddon, .mcpack, or ZIP file.Common blockers include an invalid manifest.json, a missing manifest, or missing required properties such as name, description, uuid, and version. ^7^ Passing validation still does not prove Minecraft Education supports the pack’s APIs or experiments.
If the package is correctly formed, current, and still fails as a separate import, replace it with one whose author explicitly lists compatibility with Minecraft Education and your installed version.
