    Hello,

The option to downgrade to the Classic Microsoft 365 plan was available for a limited time last year and was offered only in certain regions/user accounts. Unfortunately, this offer has now ended and is no longer available for both existing and new users.

At the moment, you can purchase the currently available Microsoft 365 Personal or Family plans, depending on your needs.

I understand that you may prefer or be looking for the Classic plan, but since the promotional offer has expired, you would need to choose one of the available subscription options.

Microsoft 365 Classic is not always offered to every account. It appears to be a limited downgrade option for some existing Microsoft 365 Family subscribers, usually during the cancellation flow, and availability can vary by region, account eligibility, and how the subscription is billed. If the Classic option does not appear, that means it is not currently available for that subscription.

If the goal is to change plans, the supported path is:

    1. Go to Subscriptions and sign in with the Microsoft account tied to the subscription.
    2. Find the current subscription and select Manage > Cancel subscription.
    3. If eligible, Microsoft 365 Personal Classic or Microsoft 365 Family Classic appears as a downgrade option.
    4. Complete the switch.

If the option is available, the current subscription might not change immediately. It switches at renewal, and the new plan is not charged until renewal.

If renewal is the issue, renewing early does not remove unused time. The expiration date is extended by one month or one year, depending on the renewal chosen.
