Azure AD Common Endpoint

Hello - I am building a function app that uses the built in authentication using Microsoft as the identity provider. I would like to ask how am I being redirected to login.microsoftonline.com/common? The app I registered is a single tenant so I was expecting to be redirected to login.microsoftonline.com/<tenantId>.

Does this happen after you authenticate to the application? If that is the case then you need to make sure that the Redirect URIs/Reply URLs are set up in your app registration and application code to redirect you where you need to go.

Please provide more details about which point in the process you are sent to the common endpoint and I will be able to assist better.

It happens when I access my function URL. I am then redirected to the common endpoint.

What do you have set as your App ID URI and Redirect URI? There are some guidelines for the values here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/configure-authentication-provider-aad
