I started receiving the error: "Couldn't upload new list item" when adding items to my list. I have to download the sync csv file, and copy data again.
I have searched for what this error means, but unable to locate any documentation.
Suggestions?

Whether you add new items into list manually or create a new list through excel file?
If you create a new list through excel file, are there some special columns in excel file? And how many items in the excel file?

I am adding the item directly to the list via Sharepoint. Excel is not involved at all.
Whether one list occurs this issue or all list occur this issue? One user occurs this issue or all users occurs this issue?
It seems to be only happening to 1 user (me). We have not rolled out the list to any other user. to add, I did not create the list.
Whether you use Microsoft 365 account?
Try to use another account to remove yourself account from the list, then re-add the account into the list. have a test.

I agree - it is 2023 and this is an issue. The sync issues is also related to the URL. I use the alternate text field and having a sharepoint site document library folder as the URL. If I leave it blank and update it after the list item is created, i have no issue creating it.

I have the same sync problem that just started occurring in February of 2024. My Sharepoint list worked fine with no issues for over a year, and then it started having the sync issue for only some users. So frustrating. And now this new error type has appeared!

I'm having this issue as well, but I do not have the additional error you are seeing. It seems something likely got "updated" somewhere and broke things for some people. I'm chalking this up to the likelihood that Microsoft is responsible. I now have this issue with a list that I've been using for well over a year without fail, and now all of a sudden due to no change of my own it stopped working and is presenting this error. Yeah, that's Microsoft for you. Constantly implementing unnecessary changes that break things. WE (the consumer) are the testers / guinea pigs.
We are having same issue and started when we tried to add multiple link in list. As a troubleshoot, I have tried clearing cache, worked fine just once. Its really inconvenient to keep doing that. Hopefully there is permanent solution to it.
