Data ingestion from MySQL server to Synapse Serverless Database

Hi,

I would like to ingest data from MySQL server to Serverless Database on the Synapse Workspace.

When I try to create a new connection, choosing the subscription and server name, but I could not see any database being listed.

Is this normal or I miss out something?

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Connecting Azure Synapse Serverless SQL Pool:

Note: When creating linked service for Azure Synapse serverless SQL pool from UI, choose "enter manually" instead of browsing from subscription.

Connecting Azure Synapse Dedicated SQL Pool:

Note: You need have dedicated SQL pool created before creating the linked service.

Note: In case, if you don't have any dedicated SQL pool created, it will show as No database

If you have the dedicated SQL pool created before creating the linked service, you can select the database from the drop down list.
