ANALYSIS SERVICE TABULAR MOE IN MSSQL SERVER 2014 STANDART EDITION?

HELLO EVERY ONE,

I have a problem and i need help.

WHEN I TRY TO INSTALL AN INSTANCE OF ANALYSIS SERVICE IN SQL SERVER VERSION 2014 STANDART EDITION TABULAR MODE IS DISABLED, THE ONLY OPTION IT BRINGS IS MULTIDIMENSIONAL. I TRIED WITH MICROSOFT BUT COULD NOT RESPOND TO ME CLEARLY. THE DOCUMENTATION DOES NOT REFERENCE THE STANDART VERSION CITES THE FEATURE IN GENERAL. , SOMEONE CAN ANSWER ME IF TABULAR MODE IS VALID IN VS STANDART OR ONLY IN ENTERPRISE AND BUSINESS INTELIGENCE. DEVELOPER IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME.

Hi @CatarinaKnoedt-9973,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

For SQL Server 2012 and 2014, Tabular mode Analysis Services is only available in Developer, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise editions.

In SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition (plus more recent SQL versions), it is possible to install a Tabular mode instance of Analysis Services.

For more information, please refer to this thread and Features Supported by the Editions of SQL Server 2014.

Best regards,
Carrin
