Microsoft Whiteboard - back to previous version

Hi guys,

Is there any chance to come back to the previous version of MS Whiteboard via official MS channel?

I have found this solution below, it works, but I don't want to take a risk with the app from not authorised source

For me the removal of insert a pdf file is the main problem.
This was the procedure I used to restore an old version:
Go to https://www.filehorse.com/download-microsoft-whiteboard/
Downloaded 21.10913 version. It's a AppxBundle file.
Didn't know how to install so I double clicked it and ask for a suggestion from Microsoft Store.
It suggested me an application from Microsoft called App Installer (in portuguese was "Instalador de Aplicações" which I guess is "App Installer" in English).
After install it I double clicked again on AppxBundle file and it opened the App Installer. *It gave me a warning saying that Whiteboard was already installed and I choose the reinstall option.
After it finished I launch the app again and it was the old version.***

In my case whenever I restart my laptop it reverts back to the new version. So, each time I need to reinstall the old version. How did you solve this issue?

The same is happening to me (When I restart my laptop it reverts back to the new version). I can't find a way to stop the automatic update. I have windows 11. Help!

Get the latest updates or reinstall it - it will rollback to previous version.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS INFORMATION!!!!

I was also upset with the changes in with the update!! I started trying to find how to get my pdfs in to my whiteboards and there didn't seem to be a way. I am so thankful that Microsoft has listened to their consumers and given us back the features we needed!!!!

I`m not using Whiteboard by myself, but I have seen frustrations of teachers who are using that everyday... We had the issue with PDF as well - all PDFs were very blury. With PDF the only way I could manage this problem was taking a screenshot of PDF and importing image to the Whiteboard - not ideal, but it was clear that way. Hopefully it will not happen again and we will be able to stay with this version.

Does anyone have the ms whiteboard file. Filehorse now offers to download the latest version, which I dont require as it does not solve my problem. I want to go back to the version where it was possible to insert pdf files. Thanks.

I suddenly cannot open/sign in previous version of Whiteboard app, last week it was working but stopped working today. I reinstalled the Whiteboard app R51.xx and R21.xx, but both are not working.
Error code CAA20002, some issue with preauthorization ??
It seems like Microsoft does not want us to use previous Whiteboard apps anymore.
Does anyone have the same issue?

Well. Looks like that they are now blocking us to use the older versions.

But I accidentaly upgraded to the new version and they fixed every problem that I had.
Pen bugs, bad eraser, lags. They're all fixed.

I recomend you to update it.
