invoice is to much money

I am a student and it's the first time I'm using azure. I wanted to choose the cheapist plan for database, I don't know how it got to a very large amount

    We are sorry that you had to face this issue. In this case , I would suggest to open a free ticket with our billing support team and they will be able to help you with the explanation of the costs. If there is anything which is not correct they will help provide a credit but I would suggest to check with them as it depends on case by case basis.

    Additionally , I would like to provide you some options to check . As you are a student , we provide a $100 credit which can be used within a duration of 1 year anytime along with certain free services. Please check the Azure for students page for more information . Since you required cheapest plan for database, I assume you would have setup a DTU based purchasing option which provides the cheapest plan . The basic plan costs $5 a month and has a database size limit of 2GB .

    Also the data transfer for your database is charged separately as per bandwidth pricing on azure. So if the database was frequently accessed and large amount of data transfer was done then it will be charged separately . You can check the cost management and analyze as per the individual resource cost using cost analysis blade on Azure Portal and it will provide you a better picture of why the invoice reflects the large cost and which service is responsible for the same.
